Somehow it’s appropriate that many of the acts that appear at Canada Place on Canada Day got their music from somewhere else.
Spirit Of The West originally was inspired by Celtic traditional music. Alex Cuba immigrated from Cuba, though he established a career in Canada. Also appearing is Alpha Yaya Diallo is from Africa.
Rounding out a bill of 25 performers are the Dal Richards Orchestra, and Dr.Strangelove.
The Waldorf Hotel is saluting Canada Day with a block party in its parking lot. Beside plenty of food, appearing are Cris Dirksen, The Ballantynes, Bella Mondo, Myriam Parent and Radii.
